Holy Cross Academy offers a well-balanced academic curriculum. As a member school of the Diocese of Arlington, HCA follows the Diocesan Curriculum Guidelines. Of course, instruction in our Catholic Faith is of primary importance in the school's curriculum. Students have daily instruction in Religion, Language Arts, comprised of Reading, Grammar, Writing, Spelling and Penmanship, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Weekly classes are held in Art, Music, Technology, Library and Phys Ed. Students are exposed to Spanish in grades K through 6 and take this language for credit in grades 7 & 8. Eighth grade students also have the opportunity to take Algebra I for credit. Holy Cross Academy is fortunate to have the services of a full-time Resource teacher, a counselor and seven teacher assistants. Holy Cross Academy's faculty is composed of certified teachers, including a librarian, resource teacher, computer specialist, and teachers in art, music, and physical education, as well as six classroom aides.
