Faculty and Staff
We are blessed by a group of dynamic, dedicated professionals who are making a difference daily in our children’s lives. Holy Cross Academy’s faculty is composed of certified teachers, including a librarian, resource teacher, computer specialist, and teachers in Spanish, art, music and physical education, as well as five classroom assistants. We have a full-time counselor and a part-time school nurse. We have a certified school chef and trained kitchen staff.
All our teachers are certified in the area in which they instruct. Our principal holds Virginia State certification in Educational Leadership and Administration, as well as teaching certification in Maryland and Pennsylvania. In addition to our principal, ten teachers hold Master’s degrees and five are currently enrolled in a graduate program. All our teachers of Religion hold Catechist certification with seven at the advanced level. Our average teacher has fifteen years teaching experience and nine members of our faculty have taught here since our school opened in 1998. Our faculty members are experienced, dedicated and innovative. They make our school the wonderful place that it is.
Our teachers are supported in all they do by dedicated staff in the office, classrooms, kitchen, maintenance and extended care program.
